In the spring of 2025, I traveled to the Algarve region of southern Portugal, noted for its stunning panoramic cliffs, wildflowers and migrating birds. While there I hiked along the rocky cliff trails, surrounded by miles of blooming wildflowers. Looking down, I was drawn to the natural colors and compositions of rocks and plants, embedded in the red brown earth.
